Proso or Common millet (Panicum miliaceum) is grown in temperate climates. It is widely cultivated in the Russian Federation, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, the United States, Argentina, and Australia. The plant has open, branching, drooping panicles and is tolerant of a wide range in temperature.
